What’s it all about?

If you have ever found yourself wondering about the bigger questions in life: Why am I here? What’s the point in life? Can there really be a God out there? … then Alpha is the perfect place to find some answers.

What is Alpha?

The Alpha course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed informal setting over a few weeks of thought-provoking sessions. It’s low key, friendly and fun and there’s no cost. Over 2 million people in the UK and 11 million worldwide have already found it to be a worthwhile experience.

Who is it for?

Alpha is literally for anyone - whether you have a faith or not, whether you are not sure about such things or whether you’d call yourself a Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, agnostic, atheist or whatever. All that you need is a desire to want to explore the bigger questions in life

When & Where?

This Alpha runs from 7pm till 9pm at the family life centre. This gives time for food, watching a short video presentation and then a chance to have a discussion at the end.

What happens on an Alpha evening?

Each session includes food (in person), a short talk, and a discussion at the end where you can share your thoughts.

What if I try it and don’t like it?
If at any point you decide Alpha isn't for you, that's not a problem. There's no pressure, no follow up, and no charge.

Can I try it out?

Just pop in and see what it’s like for. You won’t be alone but feel free to bring a friend if you prefer.

Starting October 8th

The Alpha Course is a great opportunity to explore the Christian faith in a no pressure, relaxed environment. We watch videos that examine some of the big issues of life, share drinks and food, and ask questions or just have a listen to the discussion. We hope to accommodate everyone who wants to attend, and are therefore offering either a daytime or evening Alpha Course, please specify which session best suits you.
